The Health & Safety Executive require a copy of the existing certificate as proof that they are still in date. If the validity of the current First Aid at Work certificate has expired, even by just one day, the candidate must re-take an entire 4 day First Aid at Work course.

As this is a refresher course, all of the topics covered in the 4 day First Aid at Work course will be revisited to ensure compliance and understanding and a final assessment will again be made by an external assessor upon completion of the course.

HSE First Aid at Work Appointed Person (1 day)
Also known as Emergency First Aid certificate
1 Day Course : £65.00

This Health & Safety Executive recommended 1-day non-assessed course is the minimum level of First Aid training for the workplace allowed by Law. It is only appropriate for low risk environments or for those people acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider. Due to time constraints, the topics in this course are covered to a lesser degree than in a 4-day course.

However, as demonstrated by the course content, a large amount of information is taught in a very short space of time to candidates and this can easily be forgotten unless routinely practiced in the workplace. ‘Security And Safety’ therefore recommend that candidates on this course refresh their skills annually.
